Volunteer Highlights

3M Global Volunteer Day

Every year, 3Mers in global locations come together to to improve lives as part of our annual Global Volunteer Day.

In 2016, 61 volunteers from 3M Singapore contributed 183 volunteer hours to pack and distribute 3M product packs to 150 underprivileged households. During this door-to-door distribution exercise, the 3Mers also explained the use and maintenance of the products, and provided related home hygiene and health tips to the beneficiaries, many of whom were elderly.

Preparing Students for Success

3M Science Outreach Program

3Mers from different disciplines, from R&D to marketing and supply chain, volunteer their time to mentor and guide students in STEM-related programs every year. From 2007 - 2016, 600+ 3Mers have volunteered their time to inspire students to success.

Volunteering in Communities Around the World

3Mers volunteer their time, talents and expertise to improve lives in their communities. In Singapore, thousands of 3Mers participate through 3Mgives community and science outreach programs, helping people in need in the community.

Recognizing the Contributions of Our People

Annually, 3M honors volunteers from around the globe who positively impact the lives of others in extraordinary ways. We are proud to share that Anthony Lim, Pang Hoke Woei and Larry Peter Lo from 3M Singapore have won the 3Mgives Volunteer Award in 2014, 2015 and 2017 respectively.
3M Global Volunteer Day

Every year, 3Mers around the world come together to improve lives as part of our annual Global Volunteer Day. In 2019, 26 volunteers from diverse functions and cultures joined a distribution drive of 3M products to 500 households as part of the 3M Step-Up Challenge. Apart from packing and distributing product packs each consisting of six practical items, the volunteers also shared product instructions and health and safety tips with beneficiaries.
