3M™ X-Series Hi-Tack Transfer Tape XT2112 offers a balance between high initial adhesion and good holding power to bond well to smooth but hard-to-stick-to surfaces such as coated papers, paperboard and plastics.

Adheres Well to Smooth, but Difficult-to-Stick-to Surfaces 3M™ X-Series Hi-Tack Transfer Tape XT2112 features 5 mils of adhesive coated on a 55# white densified kraft paper liner. This high tack tape can withstand temperatures as high as 180°F/82°C short term and 150°F/66°C long term. The softer adhesive "wets-out" the surface, maximizing contact to create a strong, permanent bond on smooth, but difficult-to-stick to materials, including plastic trim, moldings and emblems. The tape consists of an adhesive layer only, and does not have any type of supporting carrier such as film, paper or tissue. For application the tape is positioned adhesive side down to a surface and the liner is removed, exposing the backside adhesive to the joining surface.
