3M™ EMS Near-Surface Marker is specially designed for marking underground telephone lines accurately. It comes in a cylindrical shape, allowing for easy installation in asphalt or concrete, without extensive digging. This marker offers positive identification of facilities.
The near-surface marker is ideal for marking underground gas lines at distance of up to 2' (0.6 meters). Unlike other markers which are ideally installed at the time the lines are installed, the near-surface markers small cylindrical shape and allows for easy installation after the asset has been buried. An iD version is available which allows for the storage of customer specific information about the underground asset.
