3M™ Industrial Insulated Protective Cap Kit is an accessory device designed to electrically insulate and mechanically seal loadbreak bushing interfaces. The protective cap is used for permanent or temporary installation on bushings, junctions or feed-thru devices. This kit is 25 kV voltage-rated and 200-amp current-rated.
3M™ Industrial Insulated Protective Cap Kit includes an insulated protective cap with stranded copper ground wire, silicone lubricant and an installation instruction sheet. The protective cap offers a fully shielded insulating cover for energized bushings when coupled to a loadbreak bushing interface with the drain wire attached to the ground. ANSI/IEEE Standard 386 Certified.
