3M™ Low-Density Board has excellent thermal stability, a thermal class of 155° C, low moisture absorption, high thermal conductivity and long-term reliability for layer insulation applications. The high thermal stability increases transformer overload capability or enables smaller transformer size. It is ideal for core tube, ground and window insulation applications in liquid-filled transformers.

3M™ High-Density Board provides a high temperature solution for core tubes, ground and applications where there needs to be insulation between the core and coil in liquid-filled transformers. The board provides high thermal stability for overload capability with a 155° C thermal class, tested per IEEE C57.100TM-2011. The higher temperature stability also enables the transformer to be designed for smaller size and less weight. The high thermal conductivity allows for greater heat dissipation and reduces coil hot-spot temperatures. This liquid-filled transformer insulation board absorbs less moisture for more stable electrical performance and reduced transformer coil drying time. RoHS/REACH Compliant and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant‎‎.
