3M™ Cold Shrink QT III 7640 S, 7650 S & 7660 S Series Termination Kit is designed for terminating medium voltage power cables. The QT-III termination uses high dielectric constant (High-K) stress control mastic insulated with a UV-stable, track-resistant, silicone insulator. The track resistant, hydrophobic propertities of the silicone rubber minimize leakage currents. Meets the requirements of IEEE Standard 48, for Class 1 for indoor, weather-protected applicationsThe UV stable, track resistant, silicone rubber insulation of the termination has a hydrophobic property and is IEEE Standard 48 Class 1 Approved for outdoor, weather-exposed applications.
